I don't know why techniques like mine aren't used more often, but I do find it somewhat disturbing that therapists may not see much "economic interest" in providing a quick solution to their clients.

At the same time, the prevalence of panic and anxiety disorder (it's the #1 mental health issue in America) has led to an abundance of prescription medication options, which allows doctors and pharmaceutical companies to also profit from the anxiety epidemic. But truthfully, medication is almost never necessary to stop anxiety and panic attacks.

With that said, I also understand that you don't yet know whether this site is the right answer for you either.

Regardless of what your ultimate decision is, my advice is that you keep educating yourself about all your options, so that you never become dependent on any single approach, person, or pill.
