PRAYER AND THE MC2 METHOD

Remember that when desiring anything, whether it's to find your keys or to have a productive day, a pleasant meal, a healthy body, a loving relationship, or a nicer car, there are two ways to approach the desire. The first is to move toward what you want while focusing on the fact that you don't yet have it - in which case you'll likely react with feelings of longing, worry, or frustration. Of course, these energies only interfere with the process - or more accurately, help manifest more lack. The other approach to go about getting what you want is to do so while holding the feelings of already having it. These energies promote manifestation - they encourage action, they guide action, and they bring unseen forces into harmony with your efforts. So if you're poor, it makes more sense to generate feelings of wealth than it does to worry about how little money you have. Or if you're ill, it makes more sense to generate feelings of wellness, than it does to fear illness. Even from a purely conventional perspective, it's very clear which feelings promote healing. Adjust your body energy to the vibration of having what you desire - and that's what you'll attract.

If you practice prayer, try incorporating these concepts into those efforts. Rather than asking, pleading, hoping, or longing, pray with the knowing that your desire has already been fulfilled, your question already answered, your wish already granted. In this way you're radiating energies that the laws of attraction can match. You're speaking the language that the universe, or god, understands.

Of course, if you truly believe that just asking for something will work, then it might, because that belief will result in an emotional reaction and energy matching your expectation. But the same is true of any other method or ritual. If you really believe that repeating an affirmation, getting a psychic prediction, wishing on a star, or saying "hocus pocus" will result in material manifestation, then it very well might. The problem is that most of us approach such rituals with skepticism and worry, and therefore they rarely work. In understanding this, the real solution is to place less emphasis on the ritual, and more emphasis on aligning your body energies with the objective. You can repeat positive affirmations, negative affirmations, or gibberish, as long as the noises you make help to get your feelings into alignment with what you want. If you believe in psychic prediction, and you know a psychic who tells you things that you want to hear and believe, then great. But be aware that you have the capacity to choose your own energies, to shape your own future, rather than leave it to the mercy of another. And if you practice prayer, by all means continue talking to god in any manner that works for you. But when asking for something, be it guidance or abundance, try asking not with longing or worry, but with a joy and gratitude for that request having already been answered.

Gratitude is a particularly powerful energy for facilitating manifestation, and it can also be used independently of prayer. Feeling gratitude is kind of like thanking the universe for what you have. Not only is this an excellent way to reinforce the presence of any good things that you already have, but it can also help to attract the things that you desire but don't yet have. Gratitude reinforces your efforts while generating the other energies associated with your desires. Simply try feeling gratitude for the things you want as if you already had them, and they'll more quickly be drawn to you.

For some practice right now, please bring to your awareness something that you already have in your life that you're grateful for - maybe a friend or family member, or a possession, or maybe a pleasant interaction that you've had recently. Using the thought of that person or experience, find a feeling of gratitude and then expand it - perhaps to encompass other good things in your life. Finally, transfer that energy to something that you desire in your life but don't yet have. Generate gratitude for that thing or condition as if it were already part of your life now. Pure thankfulness. Project that energy from your body outwardly and inwardly to the universe, thanking the universe for having already brought the manifestation to you. You're not asking, longing, wishing, or hoping for the condition, but rather reinforcing the feeling that it's part of your reality now.
